RJ and I stopped here for breakfast twice on this trip. I asked Missy if they could make the sausage gravy omelet special they made on Valentine's Day and she said absolutely! RJ and I both ordered it and it was just as fantastic as the last time. Omelet with sausage gravy inside and a biscuit on the side. The best breakfast ever!! The next day RJ had a regular omelet and I had a breakfast burrito because you can't eat that sausage gravy every day...but I would sure like to!! I could only eat half of the burrito, it was huge and delicious, full of sausage, cheese, onions, and pepper. This is a great little café!!

I was here last when it was the Cracked Egg. The decor is definitely better. More beachy and the booths are much nicer than the tables they used to have. Place was nearly full. You can sit anywhere you like. We were waited on immediately. Our food came out fast. It was nothing fancy. The type of food an average cook would make at home. The French toast was good, a bit of cinnamon. Eggs were cooked perfectly, exactly the way we asked. The omelettes were okay. The only issues: the hash and the sausage patties tasted cheap. They weren't very good. The grits were watery. The Pepsi was flat and watered down. With Big Pine closed, this is a decent alternative if you want breakfast out.

Two of us had breakfast here at about 11am on a Saturday. We were greeted immediately and got a table right away. Decor is very plain. Food is simple and very good. I had eggs, link sausage, and hashbrowns. The sausage was unusually large and had good breakfast sausage flavor. Hashbrowns were actually nicely browned. Came with a homemade biscuit which was sliced in half and grilled. Also ordered a side of sausage gravy which was full of meat . Very good. My gf had a spinach omelet & we both had coffee. All the food was perfectly prepared and prices were reasonable. This place apparently used to be called The Cracked Egg. No atmosphere, not even for a diner; just good breakfasts.

I loved the cute atmosphere and the staff! The food was cafe style. I had egg whites, toast and grits with bacon. All of my food was really good and I had a great experience. I would definitely stop here again and eat my next trip down to the keys.

Had a great menu, food options were available and they were typical of a cafe. Service was great and I would recommend this to anyone that travels down in this area.

Formerly the cracked egg. The place sucked then and still sucks now. If your looking for breakfast fair head over to big pine restaurant or the Galley Grill.
